ok so background on my car. the body is a 2000 gsr 4 door, current with a 1997 b18b under the hood. im recently having problems with my car over heating. first thing i did was replace the fan switch because my fans werent kicking in. however it continued to overheat. next came a water pump, timing belt, and tensinor. but its still over heating. im wondering might be causing this or could it simply be my gauge is incorrect. it seems to rise really fast, and when it happen i turned my heater all the way up to cool it down, but it was blowing out cold air, if my car was really over heating shouldnt it have been hot as hell. any input would be appreciated.

If your car isn't running and it goes to hot then its the ect sensor.
Did you bleed all the air out the coolant?

When your car has warmed up before it runs hot feel the lower radiator hose to see if its hot, if its not drain your coolant replace the thermostat just don't put it on upside down :), refill the coolant. On the upper radiator hose the water outlet depending on your year has this nipple like thing you can unscrew with a 12mm but be carefully and u gotta let some pressure build up while the car is running and it will push all the air out of the lines and once your fans kick on u should be good
