Opinions on possible set-ups

Hey ClubIntegra members,
I just traded in my S2k for a third generation integra with some heavy mods on it. I'm lookin around the car and I see it has a cheap air intake, an eagle stroker kit(according the dealer), an aftermarket muffler but not full CB-system, MRD ingnition, Morso oil pan, and an AEM fuel rail and cam gears. The dealer also mentioned that it once had a supercharger, but that it was stolen of the vehicule.

The intake has a decent kink in it so I'm figuring it has to go, along with the muffler. Modacar offers a package including an AEM CAI, a DC Ceramic-coated header, and an Apexi N1 Exhaust for $885.

Looking around the best i/h/e is probubly a Weapon R SRI, DC Sport 4-1 or Edelbrook Header(not sure if I should go with SS or Ceramic coated ftm), and an Apexi GT spec Exhaust totaling at around 1k.

I'm sure the members here have alot of insight on which parts actually get the best gains and are the most reliable for this car. Some advice would be appreciated greatly.

What are your goals for this car?
You can't go wrong with AEM intakes but depending on the model WR intakes are nice too.
As for exhaust first of all I'd go with a SS steel header with no ceramic coating. The coating easily cracks and SS looks better IMO. tri-y headers will boost midrange power while 4-1s will emphasize top-end. This is not inluding hybrid long tube 4-1s and such. Apexi exhausts are also great products. Im not sure what the difference between the N1 and GT spec exhausts are, they're both straight through mufflers. I think its different sized piping. Again the size you choose will depend on what your goals are for the car.

There are a ton of SS headers, Megan are the cheapest but are SS. If they are any good, there the best for the price. There are also these Strup company...anyone know if there any good?

dude you need to take a spelling and grammar class. if you are really looking for some hp gains, drop some money on a hytech replica and a 2.5" catback exhaust. then step up to a nitrous kit. first on my list would be to find out what internals are in your motor though. what compression pistons/material/brand are all important.

Sorry, it's very hard to type well on an Iphone. I'm not sure what the internals are yet, but I'm not a huge fan of Nos. I'll probubly stay with basic bolt-ons for now, and just replace the original supercharger. Based on what I've read through on the forum: an AEM/ Weapon R Intake would be a great replacement along with a Sturp SS header into an Apex'i GT spec exhaust( Heykosal was correct, bigger piping with an angled can). Thanks for your input, much appreciated.

Wow, I expected people to list a lot better parts than whats up here.

Yea, why would you trade an s2k for that. Also if you don't have any receipts on the stroker kit I wouldn't believe that it has one.

I have to many speeding tickets, so I have to get rid of the S2k if I want to stay with my insurance company. I found an integra at a family friends lot with only 41xxx miles for $6500. It had Oz rims with an infinity sound system plus it was decked out in Momo...naturally it caught my attention. I trust my friend on the stroker kit, and he has all the parts(off the integra) for the supercharger kit if you subtract the actual charger. It was tuned, but isn't anymore. I'm not planning on insuring the car fully, so just some cheap bolt-ons are all that's needed. If I get enough money, I may replace the supercharger.

Ok but if your looking for a good i/h/e system I would check out some different options. I personally am not crazy about apexi exhausts. I've owned a bunch of them and other than make a lot of ugly noise they haven't made a significant difference in power. AEM intake. Seems like a waste of money. Yes they are made good but they are overpriced. Make your own, by a cheap ebay one. Get a good filter, this has been beat on so i'll leave it at that. And for the header, do you know what compression your running, what stroke, what bore. These are all things you should find out to determine what size header and exhaust you'll want to get
