Has anyone had experience with an oil leak on the front drivers side of the engine? when i open up the hood theres oil sticking on the hoodand all over the places on the deiver side of the engine, i took it to the shop a while ago they had replaced the oil pan gasket and the hose, but than it was not the problem because the leaking continue, I can't figure it out where it come from

I searched on google, it maybe oil filter housing gasket or oil ring or sumtin, how much it cost to fix it?

thanks for your help

I had problem with valve cover gasket.
Do you have your timing belt cover on? If not oil might be coming from cams or crank seals

if its on the hood, its from the upper part of the motor, most likely the valve cover gasket, or the oil cap gasket... just look around and see whats wet

shampoo wash your engine then let it run with the hood open and see if you notice any leaks anywhere,

i will try to take a picture of it, I took it to the same mechanic twice and showed to them that after they replaced the oil pan the the host, the oil still splash up i've wasted 400 already to replace those two, they seem to can't figure it out the source of the leaking

it was a while ago, somehow the leak stopped, but now it's going on again (maybe because of the weather, cold?)

check out the valve cover gasket that sounds like the problem....but like they said above wash the engine bay and that should help you pinpoint the problem good luck!

nothing from nowhere
have a shop put uv dye in the oil. then use a uv lamp to spot the leak. it works great
