hello everyone im new on the website and i was just wondering if anyone help me out, i have a oil leak from where it seems to be between the head and the block, but it looks like some oil is also coming from where the vtec solenoid and the cam seal is too, im thinking it might be the head gasket, but the oil is not milky, the car is not overheating and i dont think theres any antifreeze in the oil, im also thinking it could be the vtec solenoid, or the camseal, but i really dont know, could someone help me out??? i really would appreciate anyones help. thanks

i would say its probably a head gasket? looks like it kinda squirted all over. have someone rev your motor a little - not too much! and see if you can see oil come out at the head.

Bad cam seals are a common problem for Integra's. There's an aftermarket company named STR that makes good cam seals in diferent colors, they look sweet and work better than the stock seal. I have a silver STR cam seal.

thanks for your imput guys, and ive heard about those str cam seals, and i was kinda thinking about getting one from password jdm or jdm theory, are they hard to install? and btw im gonna try getting in it and reving it up a little to see where that oil is coming from

that looks exactly like a cam seal leak, and dont bother turning on your car and revving it to high heaven, go look to see where the leak is originating, or feel.

Cam seals arent hard, but you have to take apart the exhaust cam bracings of the head to get the seal off.

If youve never taken the VC off I'd suggest a new VC gasket, just because the old one might break.

yeah, im pretty sure its the vtec solenoid gasket too, but im pretty sure the leak is coming from somewhere else too, and im definately gonna replace the vtec solenoid gaskets and the cam seal and hopefully that would be all, and a vc gasket too, i just wanna be extra sure its not the head gasket too

clean off the oily areas and apply some leak trace. start the engine and locate the area(s) where the oil is coming from. clean again and reapply leak trace until you’re sure of the exact location(s). replace the offending component
