Well when my car is in 'accessory mode' meaning the car is NOT on. Both lights DO NOT stay on while the car is actually on and running.
The key is turned 2 spots forward, if i leave it like this for 10-20 minutes listening to music etc, when I go to start my car, she won't start up.
I have the orginal honda battery still haha, so I'm assuming, the battery doesn't hold a full charge, and is on it's 'last legs', and my alt is charging fine.
Agree/disagree?
Again in 'accessory mode' my oil light is on, I have oil in my car, at the full mark. So that's not the issue..
What could it be? something internal is messed up?? i hope not or maybe, oil pump, bad sensor or im clogged in my oil pan?
I did some research, and found this...
I would also check the "Engine Oil Pressure Switch", unplug the switch and use a meter to test for continuity to ground, should be full continuity with engine not running and no continuity with engine running, you can also just unplug it, if oil light goes out, [engine running] the switch is bad, if light does not go out you have a short in the lead, [yellow/red].
The "Charge Indicator" light, [battery light] can also be checked by unplugging, [depinning] the white/blue lead at the alt. and starting the car, if light is still on there is a short in the white/blue lead, if light goes out the alt. has a problem. 94
