Ok So I Read This Article In Sport Compact Car September 2005. The Article Was Called Great Used Cars For Less Then $10,000. In There They Have The Acura Integra. It Said And I Quote "honda Doesn't Make The Most Bulletproof Of Blocks, Even 75 Extra Hp Can Put The Pistons, Rods And Cylinder Walls At Rist. If You Do Add Power, The 94 And 95 Cars Are The Choice Because Because They Used Obd-l Emissions And Respond Better To Mods. The Obd-ll 96 And Above Cars Are More Finicky.

1. What The Hell Is Finicky? Lol.

2. What Is A Obd?

3. Would It Be Better To Buy A 94 Or 95 Engine And Just Rebuild It?

1. Finicky= troublesome, not wanting to cooperate.
2. OBD= On Board Diagnostic
3. The 94 and 95 have the same engine. they are the same cars just one is 1 year newer than the other.

The reason they say that the 94 and 95's are better to mod is that they dont have OBD2 computers. Therefor they are OBD1 and can use Hondata, chrome, uberdata, but then again that is just for major work like internals, cams or boost. Other than that they are the same cars regardless of computer.

like baldy said an obd1 system is easier to get by with major mods...an obd2 system was created to increase overall engine efficiency and decrease the amount of emissions a motor puts out...obd2 computers also can be hooked up to engine diagnostic testers and are more "specific" to what is wrong if you have a cel versus an obd1 computer which a scan tool is required and you count the number of "blinks" your cel light gives you and look up the code that way.
