OBD Harness Conversion

Some people told me that i also have to convert my distributor if i convert the ecu, is that true? My brother did the OBD2 - OBD1 conversion and only used the harness and the ecu but still running the obd2 distributor. Would it be the same thing for me if I do the OBD0 to OBD1 conversion?

if your replacing the whole engine harness then you have to get different injectors, or a jumper harness, replace the alternator with a obd1 alternator and get a jumper harness for the distributor. But if your just going to put in a obd1 ecu in a obd2 car all you need is a obd2 to obd1 ecu jumper harness and then you'll be good
