o2 sensor question

when i bougth my 97 integra it didnt come with 02 sensors so i bought some and when i tried to put it on it wouldnt fit... there was 2 plug looking things that was right above the cataylic so im assuming those were where i have to plug my 02 sensors but the plug above the car is bigger than the plug off the 02 sensor so it doesnt fit... it was for a 97 gsr and i bought some for the 97 gsr... what am i doing wrong??

Quite possible that maybe you plain got the wrong part! Where did you buy it from? Brand?

Is the catalytic converter the OEM one? That could be why it won't fit too.

i mean the plug that hooks up to the car not the cataylic converter... it fits into the cat just fine its just that when i tried to hook it up to the car it wouldnt fit... and i bought it from oxygensensors.com the brand was denso.. i would hate to waste another 200 bucks on both sensors

ooh maybe you can find some oem clips cut em and splice em.

You should be able to buy one that plugs straight into your wiring (unless you bought a universal one that needs to be wired in). O2 sensors are the same size, it's the wiring and clip that is different. Take it back and get the one for your specific car. Considering it was $200, it should be a direct fit o2 sensor
