Noob Question

Sup guys, I am currently working on a friend's '01 Integra LS w/ a thrown rod. The engine is currently a B18B1 engine and we ordered a replacement. However when it came in we realized that the engine we received was a B18B engine instead of the newer counterpart.

I was wondering what all I need to do in order to swap the b18B into the '01 LS ?

As far as I can tell the two engines are pretty much the exact same besides an extra sensor on the intake manifold and a couple slightly different components

Thanks for the quick response guys. Just got the wiring harness off of the old motor. I have another question, the B18B has 130hp@6000rpm but the B18B1 has 140hp @ 6300rpm. Can I just use the intake manifold off of the old B18B1 and put it onto the B18B and regain that extra 10hp?

i had 2 swap intake manifolds and wiring harness to make all the plugs and sensors all match up. where did you get the motor from, if its a jdm motor your gonna have to also swap the distributor and driver side upper motor mount bracket where it bolts to the actual block because the studs are aligned diff where it slips through.

yes, it is a jdm. so i need the motor mount bracket from the B18B in order for it to line up properly, great its probably still attached to the car the motor came from. Any ideas as to how much this is gonna cost? And the best place to get it? Online, parts store, junk yard?

oh and thanks again for all the help everyone.

the black part of that motor mount is what im talking about, its two pieces, the bottom part needs swapped..you actually have to take off the timing belt cover to get to the bolts 4 it..take the one from your old motor and put it on the new.
