So i recently purchased a 92 integra hatch. the car was horribly dirty so me and my friend decided to strip it, paint it and put everything back. I wired up a radio before i put everything back, but it didn't cut on. the clock works and it fires up, but i don't knw whats wrong with the radio!!!

test your wires and make sure you have constant (usually yellow 12v) and an accessory/remote power (usually red 12v). Then check the ground, those are the three components to getting the radio to power on. Then you'll have to go from there with getting sound to come out.

If you're missing any of the power wires. You can find fuses in the fuse box to match which one you need and run a wire over to the radio. Constant is for memory and power, it'll need to always be on even without the key in the car. Accessory/remote will only need power when the key is turned to acc/on position. So you'll have to play with the fuses until you find one that only gets power after the key is in and turned to acc/on.

Good luck.

Russyo i'm pretty sure that the power wires are different on the Integra. If it was wired correctly, the wiring on the radio harness would be red 12v key on power and yelllow constant like you said.

Wire Purpose - Color/Stripe
Illumination Input - Red/Black
Battery Wire (Constant) - White/Blue
Ignition - Yellow/Red
Antenna - Yellow/White
Ground - Black

I hope you didn't just cut your plug off the car. It's so much easier to just go buy an adapter harness to wire into an aftermarket stereo. Well worth the couple bucks for one. I hated wiring my Integra up because some jackass cut the radio's plug off.

If you are sure the radio works, and the fuse ON the radio is not blown. Check the car's fuse. If both are good, and it is wired correctly check for power at the fuse box. When I was wiring up my CD player I couldn't get power to any of my radio wires. I checked the fuse box and didn't get power there, then I got shocked and had power there and at my radio lol.

Ground the multimeter to the black wire. (negative.)
And test to see if the Yellow/Red wire has power when the key is turned on, and if the white/blue has power all the time.

Oh wait, do you mean the plug on the harness?
In that case yes. I assume you have the wires spliced/taped/wire nutted at some point though?
Not exactly sure what you're referring to.
