NO VTEC CODE 22 what do can i do to regain VTEC.

Car: 1997 INTEGRA GSR
SITUATION: i lost my vtec. the car runs fine. i just don't have vtec any more when i get up to 5500 rpm. The check engine light is on so my friend and i read the code in which is CODE 22. what should i DO??? i am not a mechanic! but i do know how to use the tools when needed. is this an easy problem to fix???? should i take it in to a mechanic.... how much will it cost?
I probed around the net to try and find code 22. I got Vtec pressure switch... and vtec solenoid...

well i'm gonna tell u wats goin on with me...my vtec isnt working and works once in a great while...I got the spool valve filter replaced witch didnt do nething ...so the problem is the vtec silinoide....today I went to acura and ordered a spool vavle assembly...wich is basically replacing the whole thing...I guess your better of doin that then buying little parts guessing it's this or that problem so ...witch will lead u spending more money buying different things ...

My friend told me to either check the vtec solenoid.. or fuses? i will be doing that this tuesday and wed. cause its my day off. What is the spool vavle filter?

also check your oil, if your oil is low vtec wont work.
