no oil in filter?

well i changed my oil pulled the filter off but no oil was in it unlike every other filter i changed what do you think it could be it was just a cheap fram that was on it. i was thinking either a faulty drain back valve in the filter or blockage somewhere

faulty drain back valve ??
and it's not uncommon to see very little or no oil in filter . your filter is on the back of the block right .

that was from a toyota forum talking about fram filters when i searched and they said something about. yeah its on the back of the block. it just threw me cause everyother filter i changed always had a bit of oil in it. thanks for the info gugiey
