newbie question

I have a 98 integra. The hatch wont open. The actuator is working cause I can hear it but no luck on getting it to pop. Any help would be greatly appreciated

you do know that you have to lift the hatch right? and they dont really pop...just unlock... move the lever to the left under the hand hole...

That is a good question, you do know theres a lever you need to pull to open the hatch right? Not the hatch release lever in the car; theres a lever just underneath the grip provision on the hatch itself.
The change was made so you could open the hatch from outside, without having to go into the cabin and pull the release(when the doors are unlocked).

Shit my old 96's hatch would just spring open after I pulled the release cable. But not the 98+ they've got the lever in the hatch.

INot to jack, but does anyone know how to lock your doors(all including hatch) with the switch on the hatch? Because I've done it a dozen times but couldn't ever figure out how it drove me insane!!

i dont have a hatch lever inside my car... i hate it! but im pretty sure just turn the key to the left or right...which ever way doesnt unlock the car...

I turned the key and moved the lever over. You can hear the moter working but when I pull up it doesnt open. I think something came loose and the acuator is not releasing the latch

...then your straight fucked... lol did you try like really pulling it up? can you see if its catching anywhere?

there's a motor in there? weird.

can you get to the hatch at all from the inside? if you can, try and take the back panel off and play with the rods in there to get it to open

Try holding the key in the unlock postion while you open the hatch. This is what I have to do.
