Newb with new motor!

Hey guys i just traded my 91 hatch for a 91 Integra GS. I just bought a build b18vtec motor and will be installing it asap.

This motor has a build bottom end to hold 600 hp turbo. i dont have a turbo but its in the future just need motor in first.

Ive never installed a motor on my own so i will need some enlightenment throughout this process like what to upgrade on the car and what to add since its high performance and any write ups on where everything hooks too!

thanks!

You need to Google for a motor swap guide. Your question is too vague and the answer is too long for anyone to tell you here. Im not writting a 1,000 step engine install process for you. Fortunately the engine swap you are doing has been done by thousands before you so the information is out there, look for it.

I am scared to ask. What does the engine have done to it to make it 600hp safe?

Muckman is right, you need to look up engine swap guides. There are hundreds of them written on various forums.

take your time and do it with someone who knows how to swap the motor

i keep looking up write ups but it seems everyone has a write up on putting the motor together not the install. Im messaging the previous owners to give me a parts list of the build. A marine went over seas and dumped all of his money into this motor and has traded hands twice to me. they were moving and didnt want to take it with so i scored this motor with tranny ecu and a bunch of b series bells and whistles for $750. i scored.

there has been lots done at the machine shop on the bottom end. sleeved new low compression pistons golden eagle lsvtec kit.

took the valve cover off and the head internals look mint

**I was just informed it has a golden eagle rebuild kit in it

Do you know what transmission is with it?

I'm assuming the engine is setup for OBD1, your car is OBD0

What is left on the Integra? Is it a running car or just a shell?

its just a shell. everything but motor and exhaust. and suggestions on an ecu? chipped or not chipped? and im assuming a obd1-obd0 jumper harness.

i couldnt distinguish what tranny i have theres only a YSK-1 on the casting

do i need to upgrade the clutch ? i really dont want to break it off of the motor

I need an ecu, jumper harness, and a few other things.. i went back to the previous owner and bought almost a whole turbo kit with extras for $300..Steal! Im taking the motor to a buddy who is mechanically inclined and will help with the build. just ordered intercooler piping last night :)

Next issue.. ECU. what ecu will best suit this motor swap with being turbo'd? i dont have enough money for hondata so whatever is less expensive yet still performs. p28? p72? chrome, neptune? thanks everyone!

i just found a 94-95 gsr obd1 p72 ecu for $65 20 minutes away from me. motor is a 92-93 gsr but between the 92-95 is all obd1 so im assuming im good. i guess get it chipped and add neptune or chrome on it? i cant quite afford hondata unless its a steal of a price

Chipping and something like Neptune or chrome are not the same thing.

A "chipped" ecu has one map on it.

Something like Demon RTP you can tune and reflash over and over, no chip swapping.

Demon is like 400 bucks brand new.

Your first post says you have an LS/VTEC, but now youre saying it's a B17. So which is it?

Stop assuming, you are not good at this point.
