New York People Please Read And Help

hey im new here im only 15 and I get my permitt and license next year. My dad lives in NYC and he is teaching me how to drive now so by the time i get my license im a pro my dad is a REALLY good driver, hes an oldschool streetracer anyway I was wondering if any of you guys know a place that he can take me to drive, like a huge parking lot thats always empty, or something of that nature were there arent people and its open space. He told me he heard of some kind of abandoned airstrip were people learn to drive... but yeah anyway help would be GREATLY apriciated

actually i have., several times, and i drove there each time i went. and dou mean NYC or upstate NY? there is a major difference.

if it's NYC, u need to leave the burroughs and go to staten island or something... or go up i-95 and get closer to CT. u want a subdivision. i know they're around. it's where the rich ppl live.
