New to wind-up cars

Im Alex, 21 out of So Cal. Bought a 99 LS all stock for a commuter car ( not to tune up or nothing at least yet, i spend all my extra cash on my 70 challenger) and i had a few questions for anyone willing to answer them. First, how big is a stock fuel tank, i put 10 in and it was full? Secondly when the hell does the low fuel light come on? I rode my car all the way to the big slash right before E, caved and got gas only because muscle cars aren't as forgiving on low gas and its a habit. And if the low fuel light doesn't work how can i go about fixing that? Any help is appreciated and if any of you want to join the dark side and buy a muscle car i'd be glad to help you out on anything.

The tank is 13.2 gallons, the light generally comes on for mine around 2.5-3.5 gallons left!

When you get to the E I think you have a couple gallons left. Maybe like 2 or 3. Why wait to F up the fuel pump?
