new to the Honda club

just bought a 88 integ. clean all stock. fuel pump not humming when key is in on position. main relay? took a few from the junkyard and cranked engine....nothing. tapped the relay and almost got combustion then nothing. Should i try buying a new one? or look at the ecu. motor has new dist. cap on it. It drove fine in so cal stop and go traffic then would not start after I shut it down. it has plenty of spark, just not getting fuel. Will a new relay solve this?

OK so I found loose groung on the thermo housing.....started right up. ran for about 90 sec. and sputtered out and stalled, noticed the smell from the pipe, pulled the stick and saw milk. Oh well looks like she needs a gasket....good way for me to get to get to know my new friend.
