Hello all, just purchased a few days ago a '93 Teggie. Having a little issue with fuel. Will start and run fine at times and other times will turn over but not start as if it's not getting fuel. My Haynes manual says to check the PFMI relay for blown fuse in the trouble shooting guide. Well I connot locate this even with the generic picture. So I play with several different connectors/relays that appear to connect to the fuel system then it will start and run just fine. I figure something is loose somewhere but cannot identfy. Any ideas/help is greatly appreciated as I do not want to start buying and replacing stuff to find it's still not corrected.

The car is the non Vtec, 5 spd, 168k miles

Keep It Clean
I agree. Check if it is getting spark or if its the fuel.

Is the fuel pump priming before start up? Are you getting a CEL?

I think I fixed the problem. All symptoms pointed to the fuel injection relay. When I pulled it I saw the cracked solder points. Resoldered and seems to start just fine now.
