Hi my name is steven but you can call anything polite. I recently bought a 94 ls with an obdII gsr swap. I wanted a stock gsr but they seem near impossible to find. I switched from my civic new to stick. First off I love it only been 2 weeks but it feels like i have ben doing it forever.
I am not much of a mechanic but avidly tring to absorb as much as possibe! I have two questions 1st off when I shift from 1st to 2nd at slightly high rpms as low as 4k the car wants to bob; not jerk but bob back and fourth forth until I let off the gas for a second and let it drop. I have my foot off the gas when I have the clutch in. Am I just putting to much out little gas on the shift?
Second I found out after buying the car that the key does not stay in the ignition while on the key would also not turn half the time until I put graphite on the cylinder. So I can only assume some one tried to pop the lock. Do I need a new ignition or just the ignition cylinder?
I greatly appreciate any help offered and value your opinions.
Also the car has im full cat a 7lb flywheel and my father and I did the headers.
