ok so recently i just installed a new system in my teggy. i have an alpine cd deck i forgot what the speakers and amp were. but ever since it was installed i hear this constant thump like the base just keeps thumping. thump thump thump and it wont stop untill i wither turn it up really loud or switch stations. basically i have to keep messing with the radio in order for it to stop. any one know how to fix this?

IT's most likely a loose connection, since you installed yourself, douvle check all your wiring, an improper connection grounding itself could cause that, happened in my sisters mustang, one of the wires was loose, caused an awful bass noise.

A friend of mine had the same problem after I put an amp and a JL sub in his Camry, he had an Alpine deck also, the 7893 from the 2002 line. It turned out to be his Subwoofer RCA output from the deck was bad. I switched the RCA from the sub output to the rear output and the thump-thump was gone.
I thought it was a bad RCA at first, I put a RCA in his car I had never used before myself, it was just a backup "scrap" cheap Radio Shack RCA cord, so I assumed that was probably it. So I put in a Monster Cable RCA and the noise was still there....till I switched to the rear RCA output off the deck.
