So I just purchased a 93 integra LS that I will be using as a winter beater. The previous owner or owners spliced wires into a fan harness I believe and connected them to the battery. I was trying to figure out why the fan wasnt working and when I unplugged the fan switch connector one of the pins was broken off. I Jumped the connectors with a paper clip just to see if it worked and these wires melted. If anyone has an idea of wtf these are for please let me know. Also what's the green connector for?

Next problem I had was a very low idle of about 300-400rpm. I found an open vacuum port and plugged it. Now the car idles at 1000-1100 and won't go lower. Does the computer have to adjust for it or something still? When idling if you hit the gas up to about to 2,000 rpm the needle will come back down to 600ish then jump back up to 1100. Anyways here's a pic of the vacuum port I plugged. What's this one for?

And last but not least the temp gauge doesn't work. When the key is turned on it pegs to hot. Could this just be the sending unit? Is it a better idea to just go with an aftermarket gauge?
