Hey, Im Mike im new to Club integra,
I own a 91 DA GS
It runs perfectly, But the alternator is siezed.
Does anyone know how to fix that, because if i would have to replace that it would take money away from my angel eye headlights that im buying soon,

if anyone has any imput on that that would be great!!

Thanks

:welcome: You're one of quite a few new DA guys here and we're glad to have ya!

A new alternator would be a better spend than angel eyes in my opinion. You could probably get the alternator rebuilt but you can get a generic alternator from Pep Boys. Not the greatest option but it's cheaper than OEM and will last you for a while.

Id say replace the alternator instead of buying them headlights. Just stick with the ones you have.

If you wanna buy headlights, get the jdm 1piece. I know you prolly dont like em (and a lot of other people on here love em to death) but hey, its YOUR ride. Buy them headlights later. Fix what needs to be fixed first.

you were right, headlights dont help on a car that doesnt move, but im bringing it to a buddies garage, in hopes of popping out the alternator, if worst comes to worst ill replace it cause my car definetly needs a new exhaust, and a bunch of rusty parts to replace, its sad how the car wasnt taken care of but ive been working on it for the passed week and gotten a few things done,

Cut out really nasty part of exhaust and replaced it with a newer piece of piping it looks alot nicer
changed brake pads
installed short shift
cut off the rusting stock exhaust tip
replaced it with the homemade one from my old caliber (RIP) trust me its not a terribly made tip
new plugs
new distributer cap
all new gaskets
installed CD player New pioneer speakers in the back
New started
and alot more to come, the headlights arent needed at all
so yeah hoping to get it on the road within 2 weeks or so
does anyone know anything about posting pictures in the garage thing, its kind of a stupid question and i feel like an idiot but i think the site is rejecting my pictures lol

Upload them to photobucket or imageshack and then click the little world button on the tool bar in CI and past the code, then post.

homemade exhaust tip because the other one rusted off, which is pretty bad but its alot better now, hoping to get a cat back in the long run something nicer

The exhaust tip looks pretty good man. The rust underneath doesn't look too bad either. Probably the best you're gonna get on DA in Canada. Damn you snow!!! lol
