Hey everyone I just picked up a 91 Integra ls for dirt cheap but along with that is some things wrong. First thing is the clutch, upon pressing it in it is hard half way threw then free the last half. It almost feels like the spring pedal release is binding, then when you ease of it will get stuck at the top then all the sudden release.

Oh and I'd like to thank everyone for the advice in advance. Im not new to the Honda Acura scene I have had multiple civics and integras. And my dd is a 2000 dx coupe.

welcome to the club! however, I have no advice on the clutch problem..i drive an auto..nonetheless, Welcome! post some pictures of the new car!

Its really starting to bug me. I have adjusted the tension on the cable to no reward. Tried searching and searching but can't find anything. I mainly need to see what's the part number for the pedal release spring. And ill post em and soon as I don't feel like it's a complete piece of crap.

Here's my mental list of what needs to be done.
Get stock intake.
Fix the idle issue.
Fix the belt screech upon start. Done.
Fix door and align. Done
Fix loose shifter.
Get most interior pieces and paint all of them black and fix the inserts.
Get a new drivers side fender and front bumper.
Sand it all down and atleast spray it all flat black for time being.
Lower it with some new rims and tires.
Fix the radio and other misc crap.

Ill go threw and check off what has been done.

Welcome. I as well don't have any advice due to having a slushbox. But hopefully it's an easy fix.

But I'd like to point out that lowering and adding wheels isn't a "problem" with the car :lol:

Oh, and post up pics anyways. Mine's beat to hell from the previous owner and has a blown engine, but I won't think twice to post up some pics lol

Haha well its on steelies and those aren't even matching and all tires are worn down. And all the shocks are blown. And like doing things once. learned the hard way too many times ha. Ill take some tomorrow and put em up.

Sorry no updates yet. Its a complete mess. I have fixed the front fender. Replaced the headlights. I've got a complete black dash and black rear seats, I also got the trunk carpet and a bunch of other pieces from a db1 in hopes it'd fit but some stuff didn't. Ill need new door panels, rear panels, trunk panels, front seats, and carpet and the interior will be completely black. Got an amazing deal on this stuff. 60 bucks for it all and it's in decent shape. I bargin hunt Craigslist and I don't mind a hour or 2 drive. Still need to fix the clutch and idle but im waiting on the stock intake to get here in the mail. Im hoping to have it almost put back together and ill give it a cheap paint job so it looks half way decent.

Black dash in. Running out of things to do sucks. I need to make a trip to the junkyard and get the bolts for the rear seats and I need to find a new carpet. And front seats.

Good luck with her...looks like you have a lot of work ahead of u...sounds either like the pedal spring or possibly a bent clutch fork

Oh she's rough but in no time it'll be back together with interior and paint. That's why I took it was because the body has very little body work needed and the rest I can pick up cheap.

I took a break from the clutch. Hoping its just the cable binding but well see.

Little update. Got the black dash in and some other black pieces. Ripped out the carpet and took out the front seats. Im currently looking for all the black panels from the doors back and carpet and seats. Really getting antsy. I want to drive this thing already kinda getting bored with the ej6.

Update 5/5/12 I got some panels for the rear. They were tan but I painted them black. Just need the panel for where the lights are. Then the trunk area will be complete and ill just be missing carpet and seats but might be picking them up within the next few days.
Note- I intended on finding all black oem panels, but I had to paint a few little pieces on the dash. And I was very surprised with the finish so I changed mind. Will post pics once all bolts in and its touched up.

Also still no luck with the trans issue. Took clutch cable of and messed with the lever. Felt free for about 2 inchs of movement then gets extremely hard to move with your hand. Any comments?

Well I just got a stock intake to replace the unknown (found out it was a 97-98 itr) aem intake. Messed with the idle alittle bit but I broke the coolant bleeder valve so I have to go get a new one. Im going to replace the thermostat I've noticed the car doesn't get hot so im pretty sure it's that. Hoping it'll help a few issues like the idle.

I really want this thing on the road. I think ill be switching my f&f type 1's over to the da along with my rims and tires from my ek and get some lowering shocks for that car and steelies. The da is gonna be getting a lot more attention since im letting my gf have the ek for her dd.
