And yes, I have already searched, but couldnt find the specific info I need.

I don't own the car at the moment, but I will soon.

Its a 92 Integra GS 5-speed, 2 door hatch (Virgin car, never been toyed with)

The owned of the car (family friend) parked it about 9 months ago, because she got a comaro.

The car has a blown head gasket, and has been overheated a few times, I dont know how badly. The girl never raced the car or dogged on it, just drove it to work everyday.

She has already told me it needs a radiator, headgasket, and a LOT of interior cleaning.

What im scared of, is because the block and head are aluminum, that they could be warped from being over-heated. I have a pick-n-pull junkyard about 30 minutes from my house, so getting parts for the car wont be a problem, other than my financial situation (jobless..). If it is warped, how hard is it to swap in a 3rd gen engine with VTEC? And will the tranny from the 92 fit a 3rd gen engine?

My question is this.. did this car ever come as an AWD? She told me it was AWD and needed two rear axles. If she's right, how much are the axles for OEM replacements, and for aftermarket replacements.

Im completely new to the import tuner world, but not to racing. I have a pretty fast '79 F150 with a stroked small block in it, so working on the teggy wont be a completely new thing to me.

Im sorry for the long first post, but I figured it would be wise to ask people on an Integra forum, who would know the answers.

Thanks in advance,
Justin:)

EDIT: I forgot to mention, the car will crank and run and drive. I drove it around her neighborhood and it drioves great! She's making me an unbeatable deal.. $200, and I can pay her whenever I have the money. She just wants the car out of her yard.

First off, welcome.

$200!! Sweet! As for AWD/RWD... No. Never came factory AWD or RWD. Maybe she did a sweet swap and made the bitch pop wheelies...

That's incorrect, there were awd integras, but the model was not offered here in the states. I think it was a euro or aus model, not sure.

You can swap any b18 non vtec engine no problem. You can swap a vtec (B18c/1/5) easily also, but you will need a new ecu. If you switch the tranny, you will need new axles specifically for that transmission.

There is a risk of head warp, and should you replace the headgasket, you will want to get the head resurfaced and the block checked for how level it is.

I didn't think they made the AWD in the 92 GS... Thought it was only for the GSR's...? Well, check your VIN, then you'll know lol
