new engine?

thanks for the input on going turbo or not, but i have a different question. my friend is trying to sell me a H23 motor (i think thats what he said) and said that alone would make my car 190 HP and then add turbo or whatever i want. i just want to make sure im not gettin played. he wants 1000 for it.

H23A1 = 2.3 liter DOHC NON-VTEC, it's 160 HP/156 TQ, its from 92-96 Prelude Si's and SE's.

H22A1 = 2.2 liter DOHC VTEC, 190 HP/158 TQ from 94-96 Prelude VTEC's, and 195 HP/156 TQ from 97-98 Prelude's.
Both are labeled H22A1, I couldn't tell you how to differentiate between the 94-96 and the 97-98 engines. I'm not a Prelude guru, I just have these raw stats handy.

where do you get all your stats from tegsox? I have a print out of some honda engines but not every engine is on it. know where to get more stats?

tegsox is correct i had 4 prelude already with those motor and H23 is a really good motor for turbo it would handle nice beat down

I get them from my summer of 2001 issue of Honda Tuning. It has an engine swap article, and it lists every engine for every 88-97 Accord, 86-00 Civic, 84-97 CRX/Del Sol, 86-01 Integra, 88-99+ Prelude, and 97-98 CR-V-USDM AND JDM engines for all these cars, actually. And it has a chart of the level of difficulty to swap any of these engines into any of these cars. They give the level of difficulty of putting an H22 or an H23 into a G3 Integra a 2 on a scale of 1 to 4, 4 being hardest.
This issue has so much dope info, I held onto it.
