So I just replaced my dizzy and I immediately noticed a ticking sound.
At first I thought it was a valve messed up. I had been cranking it over for a long time (killed the battery) while I was troubleshooting the original issue. After closer inspection, the ticking seems to be coming from where the dizzy connects to the motor. I pulled it back off and put some motor oil on it and it seemed quieter but still ticks.
Is this normal? Do I just need to "break in" the new part? I do have a lifetime warrantee on the new dizzy so I have been driving it wondering if it ill go out on me.
Also, I am not sure if I put the dizzy in the exact spot it was before and it looks like there is some room to adjust the timing. If I cannot use a timing light how do I adjust this?
Thanks,
-Kenny
