My sister just bought a purple 01' gsr. Super clean. She's owned some fast and real nice cars and lateky she's tired own being tied to a lease, so she got the gsr. She's 30 and wants to do a few siple nice things to it.
First i'd like to get the communitys opion on a few things.

Yeah I'm sure the racing clutch sucks lol, I have one in my gsr that the previous owner put in and I still kill it sometimes lol. I'm sure a normal parts store sells them or you could look around online for someone that sells a aftermarket factory replacement.

I the drop thing, the most popular drop is Ground Controls & Koni Yellow shocks.... but its not cheap. If you are patient you can find deals used. I picked up a set of Koni Yellows w/ H&R race springs for way cheap. The key is to get a quality shock bc that can make or break your ride. I dd mine and love the set up I have, and I have it set on a pretty soft setting.

Also welcome, oh and ur color is DVP which is Deep Violet Purple... pretty rare color actually

Look on ebay for the Exedy OE replacement clutch. You can get them from seller "gripforce-clutches" for $115 shipped. I have bought several Exedy clutches from this seller with no problems.

Thanx a bunch.

Yeah when I saw the color I swore it wasnt stock, but all the door jams and the engine bay are the same. So I got online and searched and found out they it was only avail on gsr's in 01. Its pretty cool.
We plan on boosting it for her, she's into speed and she's actually bought this car so she can do some things to it. We wanna keep it stock looking cuz imo all hondas look the best stock, maybe just a lil add on lip kit to the front or something. We have our dent guy coming out to fix a few things here this week and I will post pics up once thats done. She got a smoking deal on this thing and im glad she bought the correct car, I told her not to buy it unless it had the c1 in it for sure. Its a powerful lil thing already.

Id recommend for a mild drop Tokico illumina's and Tein H-Tech's. The illumina's have a lifetime rebuild warranty, they can be firm, but on the soft setting are nice and comfortable. That combined with the more touring spec rates of the Tein H-Tech's and it should make for a great ride. For a lip, id go for the Type-R lip.

This is where I got mine from. I think I ended up paying 105 shipped, because of a special deal they were running, or a coupon I used.

If you are going to boost it then don't waste your time with dropping in an OE replacement clutch. It won't stand up to the additional load of a boosted car for very long.
And because of this, keep your heavy duty clutch. You will need it for a turbocharged car.

I only plan on boosting it a lil for her. She dosnt need a built up motor or anything. Just like 8psi. Its her DD. It wont happen for a while, but eventually it will. Isnt the type r lip like 500 bucks?

Also wheres a good company to get oem axles for cheap?
