i have the cda- 9847 with the ipod adapter box adn now the new one u dont need the adapter box... all you need is the wire that cost 30 bucks and just plug into the deck and to ipod and thats it and more faster... damn it! now i have to sell my old one and buy the cda-9856 model! http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/product.php?model=CDA-9856
