need some help here

well i bought my teg bout 7 months ago and i already put new motor in it all kinds of new parts cause previous owner didnt take care of her.. first my gas pedal sticks since i took my cruise box out... and now currently it is sitting cause when i was rounding a turn in town my car popped real loud and came to a slow stop..i think its the timing belt that slipped but now sure please help

remove the valve cover and check the timing to make sure the belt didng break/skip

Hell I Took The Whole Head Off.. I Checked The Valves And They Seem To Be Good The Belt Seems A Lil Dinged Up But With Reading These Forums I Found If They Slip Once Theyll Continue To Slip Next Time Not Being So Luck As To Not Bend Or Send A Valve.. I Cant Get The Crank Pulley Off Atm But When I Do I Am Just Replacing Head Gaskit And Belt.. Could This Problem Maybe Just B The Tensioner???

it could. or it could have been just a bad belt. if that is what it is any ways

should have done a compression test before removing the head
