just bought a 93 integra, that had been sitting for a year. changed the oil ,filter, plugs, air filter, pcv, and the oil light switch. after about 3 min of running the oil light comes back on. previous owner said the light would flicker on occasion. what should i do

Try replacing the oil pressue sensor on back of the motor to see if that helps. It shouldn't be coming on unless your low on oil.

Hmm well in that case I am out of ideas lol. You could hook an aftermarket oil pressure gauge up and see what kind of pressure your getting. If your getting low pressure then maybe its a bad pump?

I agree with Nerk and Dylan, it could be a bad pump. An aftermarket oil pressure gauge would probably be the best bet here. You can buy a "T" fitting so you can use both your factory sensor and your gauge. They're really easy to install.

Good luck.

On cold start up, with an LS, you should see about 90 PSI.

Once warm, it should drop to about 12-15psi at idle. If it falls to ~5psi at idle, you have some problems.

idk if you guys no, but oil pressure really doesnt have much to do with the pump. thats just a deleviry device. the mains are what generate the oil pressure, SO you could need new bottom end bearings
