Ok so I just purchased a 94 gsr, owner blew the motor up and it has a b18a1 swapped into it. weaksauce

It does not have power steering and Im trying to find out how i can go about getting power steering put back into it. I have a b18b1 power steering pump, but that didnt fit on the a1 obviously. Ill post some pics of what i have so far. I have some questions.

1) Is this a b18a1 head? or just a b18b1 valve cover on the head?

2) Has the crank pulley been swapped out?

3) Are these the correct power steering brackets?

4) What power steering pump / brackets / or whatever do i need to get power steering put into it?

Here are the pictures of the motor.

so what do you guys think? is it possible for me to get powersteering in here with the a1 motor?

yeah it posibble to put power steering back in there. thats looks like a B18B in there. but to make sure the engine code is stamped on the block where the transmission meets the engine to the left of the headers. i have everything you need to put PS back into it form my swap. let me know if you need anything.

Yea its a b18a1 i already looked at the stamp. I have all ba18b1 parts for powersteering but the pump definitely doesnt line up with the pulley on the crabkshaft and also it doesnt fit on the upper bracket. Is that upper bracket for a gsr?

The bracket looks right. I heard there were like four different pulleys for that motor, but I am not sure. However it looks to me like you have a different crankshaft pulley on your car then I have on mine. (I have the opposite, B18a1 stock, swapped to a B18b1.)

I think your engine might have the GSR pulley on the a1. It looks like if you put a B18a1 pulley on you should be in good shape.

so what power steering pump should i be using? i have a 94 LS p/s pump. will that work? or do i need to get a b18a1 pump?

Should be the same. I think your problem lies with your crankshaft pulley.
