i was installing a new head unit and i missed a peice of bare wire that was showing on the 12v/memory wire and it shorted on the metal when i was pushing it in. now that connection wont work. i had to put that wire with acc/igg wire for the radio to even work. now i cant store memory and my dash clock is out. there are no blown fuses. anybody ever have this problem before? or know how to fix it? its really annoying.

Are you sure it's not a fuse? Check the fuses under the hood, too? Just check them all to be sure.

Good, just a fuse. Glad we could help. :)
I was gonna say that teggyls is right, sometimes fuses blow in a weird spot (like out on the edges) and you can't tell their blown just by looking at them. Best way to test them is with a meter.

damn i have da exact same problem he has my whole system shorted and da only thing dat turns on is da capacitor....i checked all my fuses also and it wasnt dat....so ima have to try and see if da wiring harness is burned out maybe some of da cables dont work nemore or something...hopefully i can get it fix cuz it'll suck dat i spent 1500 on music and cant get it to work for something so small and dumb....i have a brand new kicker amp, radio, capacitor and interior speakers and it was all workin until i pushed da radio back in and it shorted....
