Hey guys, I wanted to get your opinions on what you think my next car should be.

Here is my criteria:
$6000 or under
Less than 200k miles, least a possible, really.
Reliable- I am going to college and need a new car.
Great potential in sporty daily driver.
Pref. 2 Door
21-24 mpg gas mileage at minimum.

I have been thinking about getting a facelift ep3 for months now, but I'd like to get other suggestions. It doesn't have to be Honda, the main thing is I want a good car that will be amazing within $5000 of upgrades + maintenance. handling and low end torque are way more important than top speed and looks, honestly, and I seriously don't care about being slammed and stanced. I want to have a great handling, fun to drive car.. Thanks guys.

Well since you're on clubintegra i'm sure you like integra's. Go for a clean lower mileage stock GSR. They can be had for 5-6k pretty often. :)

Definitely on the list, but security mods would be a problem, plus they are super rare around here. I live in Tn, white trash country. People buy hondas, put ebay parts on them, then beat them to hell and back.

I thought you would too. But I'd suggest looking in your surround states if possible. I drove 350~ miles to dallas texas for mine.

Wow, I have gotten so little feedback... Thanks for the post too. Not too big on preludes, all a little old.

Hmm, I can't really think of something newer for around 6k. You could possibly find a tc. We had one and it was a great car.

ep3s are junk, my mom dd'd one for a few years with all kinds of issues from simple shit like the passenger light turning yellow to the ac going out. and all the times I drove it and beat on it some the handling isn't great

Definitely look out of your own state if you you can't find what you're looking for near you. I drove close to 300 miles for my car and did that trip a few times before actually finding the right car.

If you like the Ep3 have you considered the Eg6 (5th gen hatch)? I'm sure you could easily find an Integra or EG6 and have money left over for maintenance and upkeep.

Do you guys think that the teg, although a little older and probably a little more beat, would be all around better than the ep3?

Miata.
Most fun I've had driving hands down. And I around 32 mpg. Still get 30 mpg shifting at 5k rpm all the time. Also any parts are dirt cheap.
