So my rear speakers are pretty torn up, I removed them, and found out it's labeled Pioneer on the back.. so I don't know if it's the OEM speakers or not.. but the real problem is it's connected by a harness.
I bought Used Infinity speakers from Best Buy, 6-1/2", and it's just the speakers it doesn't come with anything else.. this is the link LINK, also it looks like 6-1/2" is way too big to replace the old ones, but I didn't full remove the rear panel yet, or is the rear speakers a different size?

On these speakers there's just 2 holes to put the wires in to, I can't really explain it.. I'll post pictures tomorrow.
But yeah, if you understand what I'm talking about, the harness has 2 wires connecting to the clip, and on the Infinity speaker it has 2 holes for wires. So I'm guessing I cut off the clip and wire the wires from the harness to the speaker?

Or better yet.. does anyone have or know of a DIY on how to install aftermarket rear speakers?

the 6.5 speakers are the same size i always used in my dc tegs.
u will have to take the cover off and work the speaker into place. they work!
also cut off the little harness end and strip the wire and splice/connect the wires supplied with the new speakers. figure out wich wire is the + side and the other is -. test the coonnection to see if sound is comming out the speakers, if not, then the wires are mixed up, just switch em.
g/l the car will sound better

thanks for the confirmation! i cut the harness end and wired them to the speaker to test it out before I removed the panel, and they sound amazing. i'm about to remove the rear seats to get the panel out. :suprise:

That's not how you find + and -. It will play sound either way. But if one speaker is opposite another, they cancel out each other's bass.

Pioneer is not OEM. But they suck almost as much as OEM.

So you have aftermarket speaker harness adapters? Or the factory plug?

Hmm.. maybe these speakers alone are 6.5" cause it's inside a little cover of it's own. I'm guessing for looks and such..
What's a good brand besides Infinity, and Alpine? Are Kenwoods or Power Acoustiks good? My budget is max of $150, but I kind of want to replace 4 speakers with $150.. your opinions?
