heyy,
i have a 94 honda civic that overheated on me the other day on my way home from work. there was steam coming from the dirvers side of my engine which i know for a fact is my water pump. i checked the weep holes and it was infact the water pump that went.
i had it towed to hamilton honda because 6 months ago i had them replace all the belts and water pump so i had them replace the water pump for free, they then told me that it was also a blown head gasket.
honda said that they ran a test on the civic to see how long i could drive it before it starts overheating.
they sad i had about 40 minutes. from honda to my house is about a good 30-40 minutes.
so i decided i would drive it home since i had a good amount of time before it would start overheating again.
when i drove it home today it didnt overheat AT ALL!
i even stopped for gas along the way; my neighbor had the same problem with his hatch and it was a cracked block.
even in the haynes manual it will tell you theres a coupel completely obvious signs to a blown head gasket or a cracked block.
1 being my exhaust pissing out white smoke and 2, my oil will look like a chocolate milkshake.
i need some advise or recommendations as to what i should do, do i drive it or not?
and is honda bullshitting me cause they want me to spend almost 2 grand on a "blown head gasket".
like i said, my neighbor dealt with the same thing in his hatch and he had the nasty oil and the white smoke from the exhaust.
i need help before i sell my car for no reason!
im about to go drive it for another 45 minutes and see what happens
im in desperate need for answers today! text me at 609 744 7325 or hit me up on here
