Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2010

So Gran Turismo 5 is FINALLY coming Nov 3rd. But when looking up all the new details (Track editor, shifter carts, etc) I came across the new Need For Speed High Stakes. Coming out mid november, and it looks REAL promising. It may just be the redeeming NFS game in my eyes. I mean NFS HP2 is still a bad ass game to play, and so long as they keep that same formula its golden. IMO NFS needs to be a bit fake, I mean if I want realism I have a car and GT5, but if I want an adrenaline pumping purly fun game, I want NFS HP. Also judging off the second video I think the soundtrack will be good like NFS HP2 was.

Yea I am surprised I only randomly stumbled on it, I thought it would be bigger news. I mean I adore the older NFS games. All the newer stuff has been getting worse and worse and its been killing me because I have had every NFS game (except the ones after Underground 2, they just sucked after that) since the very first one they made.

But Criterion games can make a adrenaline pumping car game (See the Burnout franchise) and from what ive read their whole goal was to bring back the old school style to the game. If they do, then damn this one should be bad ass!

finally!! i thought i was yhe only one hoping they were gonna go back to their roots with the exotics. im happy they went back to high stakes/hot pursuit was.

if anyone has the original sound tracks to the older nfs', please lmk!!

I have some of the good tracks. What ones were you looking for?

I know some of my favs were

Lunatic Clam, Roll the dice, Romulus 3, Aquilla 303, the NFS SEII main menu song, etc. I have more, but idk where they are hiding in my comp.

Oh and with that whole new "autolog" feature we will all have to start up a CI group to see who can get the best times etc.

hot damn GT5 than this 2 weeks later automotive gaming heaven and dirt 3 is due out around then as well!! good year for car guy gamers!

And btw, hell ya I remember that. Its a bit corny seeing it now :lol:. Thats the catalyst for car gaming for me. Infact between NFS, Matchbox, and Micro Machines (THE SHIT!) I think thats where my love from cars came from, sure as hell wasnt from my family, im the only car guy. NFS is the reason I learned and got into computers as well. I used to upgrade my system every time a new game came out to maximize running it.

Yea, I wasnt allowed to have a console as a kid :(. So it was PC or bust for me. 1st console I snuck in my house was a ps1, so I got started with GT there. I was a bit younger than you for all of this though. I was only like 6 when the first NFS came out.

i remembered when i got cops chasing after me and i got pulled over and ticketed, i actually had my adrenaline running and got scared when i got arrested!! lol!!
