Hi all,

So it's been about a month since I got my 96 LS. It's a 5 speed manual and has around 98k miles with a clean car fax. So far, here are the things i've done.

Maintenance

1. All fluids to synthetic
2. Timing belt
3. Water pump
4. Distributor cap
5. Ngk plugs and oem wires
6. Fuel filter
7. Oem radiator (cos the last one had a hairline crack)

Others

1. Viper alarm (now I have remote entry)
2. Got new rims - Seca Riax - but i've not installed it yet. I want to repaint them first and they also need new tires
3. Repainted hood and roof
4. Ultra-gauge
5. New sony front speakers

The paint job is just temporary until I can get a professional one. I'm thinking of changing colors. Not sure what. Maybe an electric blue or thunder grey. That will be in the summer maybe or next fall. We'll see. I have to save up.

The other thing I got is the ultra-gauge. The first few weeks I got the integra, I was all excited about redlining it. Then I got the ultra-gauge and it's showing me how much fuel i'm wasting. Here's a shot of combined city driving. I did not mount the ultragauge. It's sitting on top of the "coin drawer"?? Perfect fit.

This car is gonna be my daily driver. Next up are

1. New tires. I think i'm getting the continental dws in 205/45/16.
2. Paint rims - black
3. Lower the car a little, maybe H&R OE springs
4. New shocks/strut. Thinking either kyb gr2 or koni str.t
5. Repaint gold emblems. I hate the gold.
6. Great professional paintjob
7. Modify stock intake

I think i'm pretty set for a while after that. No more money to burn. Maybe change the o2 sensors. The exhaust could use a change. There's some rust developing but nothing serious yet. Exhaust are expensive. There are some things I won't buy used like tires and shocks but I will try to get a used exhaust. Anyway, will update the thread as I go along. :)

Comments and advice are welcome.

Thanks dood. I just got the same factory color.

Btw, anyone know where to get keys made? Homedepot couldn't do it and I don't wanna get it from the dealer.

Got some goodies for the exterior. I was skeptical at first but the rain-x and headlight cleaner really works. Gonna do a wax tomorrow.

Trunk repainted

This is before

This is after

However, because of my laziness (and cos I didn't want to take off the emblems, I painted just the top part. So there's a line that shows the old finish and new finish. ARGH!!! Lesson learned. Maybe I should repaint it all over again.

Moral of the story. Don't take shortcuts. Anyone know if I can salvage this without repainting? Maybe sand or buff or wax?
