My weekend..fml

I decided to do some work on my car all by myself.. since.. youknow.. ima big boy... it was pretty interesting..

scrapped the crappy ass silicone seals and wrestled my valve cover off for the first time,
noticed that everything was MIIIILKYYYY but i was told that the headgasket was already replaced, left over? :what:

bought a dizzy cap and rotor, come to find that the cap didnt come with gasket, went to 2 autozones n 3 advance... OUT OF STOCK..:cussing: r u fuckin kidding me? the rotor was alil tuff because the coil was in the way, after about 20 minutes of staring at the shit i realized hmmm i should try taking the coil box looking thing off :thumbs up fuck yeeeeaaa that worked

Replaced radiator hoses, and gasket for the uper hose, gasket wasnt part of the plan but since they gave me that gasket insted of a thermostat gasket i thought why not.:eek:k:
Sparks were all fould and oily, replaced em (NGK!) oil in my combustion chamber, pumped as much out as i could.

Went to change the thermostatgot 2 out of 3 bolts loose... the 3rd is IMPOSIBLE with the tools i have, the shit is in the most uncomfertable spot evertranny pipe and harnes's everywhere not to mention the hoses them self:wtf:
i left it as is ill get someone to drop it in for me.

Last i changed my fuel filter, that was somethin else. Ive done it on my civic before so i thought it would be smooth.mind you its 3am After i changed it i tried startin the bitch and i notice im sprayin fuel!:shockl:

i wait till this morning to let the gas evap. and i replaced the new gasket on the fuel in line with one of the old gaskets. Problem solved

after it was all said n done, thru in some oil and a new filter, coolent and started her up.
she started alil better., still shaking but not as much, still wont go pssed 3500rpm, wasnt expecting it to either, ran her for about 20-30 minutes idle checked my fluids, oil looked like oil and the level did not increase, but the coolent dissapeared on me, had to put about half a jug of peak more. no leaks n shit for now, white smoke out the tail but i thought that might be the oil in combustion cha,ber burnin off?. CEL on beeen on since day 1, thinkin bout taking it to acura just to run an end to end inspection let them give me a list of what needs to be done n do it myself ?

all in all i had a good time workin on it myself alil sore from being hunched over and hands feel like i have arthritis after all the wrenchin. but it was cool

You can check the CEL code yourself. Its probably the reason why you cant rev past 3500, your car is in limp mode.

i tired to jump it but i got nothing.. i dont know if i did it right or what.. jump the connector and turn the switch... do i turn it ON like crank the engine or just switch it to 2?

Should just be the first turn. Not quite sure, its been a while since I had to jump mine (A year ago).

Sounds like you had a good time, and seems like you learned a lot. Should hace seen me changing my wifes head gasket, water pump, resurfacing the head, replacing burnt valves, and a few other things. Had all the parts I needed a professional shop that had an open bay with hydraulic lift that I rented. Took me almost a week to figure it all out lol.

lol yea i had fun, car is still a lil sketchy

and it took me about a two 6 packs of caronas,
to of wich dissapeared (probably my dad)
