I believe, dont quote if I am wrong, but I think he means,:

Change your driving habits maybe? If youre going through trannies like rice cakes you might as well start looking into a manual swap. Or, put a NEW tranny in instead of one from the junkyard like you probably have been doing and take it easy. How about that for an answer lol

this is the third tranny i installed and they all do the same as my original. it takes off strong but it just wont switch to the next gear. its a 1990 integra GS 4door automatic. any input would be great.

Automatic transmissions shift via electronics. I'm not sure about Integra's but I know on Chevy trucks if your speed sensor is bad, your not going to shift right. I'm sure there's more to it then that though. I'm with Jim on the electronics thing.

Or maybe the OP has a manual transmission and wasn't aware lmao. He puts it in first, it takes off strong and won't go anywhere after that hahaha.
