ok so i have noticed that everytime my car is parked where its really hot the check engine light lights up does anyone have an idea of why its making it ?

AutoZone can't check OBD0 or OBD1. They only have ODB2 scanners.

There is a How to for checking your CEL on both ODB0 and OBD1 here on CI.

There are plenty of threads about checking CEL. I was just reading one on the same page as this..
If you have OBD0 check the ecu and count flashes, if OBD1 take paperclip to short circuit the plug and count the blinks on the dash.

if you have obd0 just turn your key to the on position and count the flashes from the led light on the ecu. example...one slow flash and four fast flashes would be 14 and you can look up the codes online. but im not sure bout obd1
