hey there teggy owners,as some of you know, my teggy is giving me problems over and over again!!!, head gasket was long GONE!!!,and my sis told me on monday it was smoking like a Bitch (sorry for language),

so i decided to not break my head anymore with cheap repairs, and decided ONCE AND FOR ALL,to REBUILD MY ENGINE, (any positive comments and tips are welcomed)

As here, my dear teggy owners,I'll leave all my progress!!!

That head gasket definitely kicked the bucket.
What is the plan for the build? Just a stock rebuild?
It did kicked the bucket, but it kicked it in a mega advanced level that i could easily take both parts of the gasket off,
and yes,just a stock rebuild!!!
(car has 223,377 miles now,was about time for a rebuild)!!!

Hey there teggy owners,as for today there wasn't any much progress, just cleaning the head and the pistons a lil bit,and removing the wiring harness (is too old, might be replacing that as well)

today:

Soap, grease remover and hot water did an awesome job:

tried to remove as much grease as i could, but it looks a little bit better:

Wiring harness (definitely going to be replaced)

Wait, is this a rebuild? Or just a cleanup and headgasket change?

What all is being done to it?

Head gasket is long gone, son, and rings, are finished!!!

Hi there again, teggy owners, haven't been able to proceed because i fell in an endless loop, and my sister complaining whether getting a new engine is cheap,as she expected to spend at most $200,well,still waiting until she makes up her mind

until then,I'll concentrate in finding a transmission to my pickup truck!!!

$200 isn't enough for a new engine, nor is it enough for a rebuild.

My engine's price list so far:
$50 - Rods Resized
$150 - Full Gasket Kit
$150 - Crankshaft Repair (Spun bearing.)
$50 - Piston Rings
$ 50 - Main and Rod Bearings
$450 so far, still need timing belt, water pump, rebuild oil pump.. oh and some various other items.

And if your block needs machined it will be even more.
I may hold off for a bit, buy some upgrades parts.
