My car needs to be faster, ideas?

Just got a '90 and it needs some meat under the hood. I'm new to cars 'n shit so any ideas or suggestions are taken into consideration. Tell me what you guys have done and send me pictures and I would be happy to do the same. Good lookin!

If you want instant bolt-on performance, get a cold air intake, high performance plugs/wires, etc. For more involved performance, get an aftermarket intake manifold, throttle body, fuel rail/injectors, ported/polished head, valve job, higher stage cams...the list goes on and on.

your signature is way too damn big.
an intake header and exhaust will give you "instant hp gains" but really your car wont run perfectly until its dyno tuned. "higher performance plugs and wires" meaning? I just use v power coppers with a 7 heat range a lot of plugs have just gimics to get you to spend the extra dollar on them. All of your suggestions are correct but you do need a dyno tune and
cams, intake manifold, throttle body, injectors etc all need supporting modifications

I gave quality advice. I've heard of people using their engines to cook food, but I don't think it was a performance based decision

you two do not help the situation by just saying "dont be dicks" that in no way helps the OP answer his question. Quite frankly telling someone to search is more helpful than what you posted. Although it has good intentions you defeat the purpose of posting by just saying "dont be a dick" you can accompany that with a link to something or helping the op.

Intake - any intake will be an upgrade I prefer a CAI over a short ram because a CAI helps with intake temps and doesn't get heat soak

Header - get a decent one if you have to be carb compliment go with like a DC sports or ITR header...otherwise a good quality header will be around 500 such brands are vibrant, skunk2, blox, other high quality ones like mugen are over 1000

Exhaust - many brands to name and most are the same setup - a lot of ppl have had good success with the yokama (spelling) that is on CI
