Hey guys, so I was interested in getting your opinions on my build plans. I currently have a 98 GSR with a b18c1, I'm planing on going with a company called treadstone performance's kit. it includes:

Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo, V trim .48 T3/T4B stage 2 turbine
Turbonetics Evolution wastegate
Treadstone cast manifold
Treadstone intercooler
Treadstone 2.5" Polished aluminum pipe kit
Treadstone stainless downpipe kit
Treadstone complete oil kit
Treadstone silicone and T-bolts
High flow air filter, upgradable to K&N
All hardware included

things I'm also getting and/or need suggestions on :

walbro 255LHP fuel pump
competition stage 2 clutch, suggestions?
fuel pressure regulator, my friend says I need this, do I?
Manual boost controller
custom 3 inch exhaust
450cc injectors
skunk2 intake mani, do I need this or can I use stock the GSR one?
A good tune

With that being said, I'm hoping to do all this on a stock motor for just a little while with running only 6 PSI, and don't intend on driving it hard, just until I can get enough money to get the motor built. will my motor be ok with 6 psi for a little while??? I want to make around 300 HP after the motors built and bringing the boost up, I don't know that I'll make that kinda number with this set up, but for now I just want to get all the parts on and running real low boost until the motors built. Any suggestions on parts, things I'm going to need as well, or things I have listed and don't need, let me know. thanks guys

You wont make 300hp on 6lbs and that turbo. Also I would not run a Turbonetics evolution wastegate, they have issues with boost spikes. Get either a precision or tial 38mm. You can make 300hp on the stock GSR manifold, but if you want to make more power down the road get the skunk2. You don't need a fuel pressure regulator for 300hp. The DSM 450s are going to limit you to right around 300-325hp, i would send them out and have them cleaned before running them. Think about it they are nearly 20 year old injectors. WWW.INJECTOREHAB.COM does injector cleaning and balancing.

What are you going to use for tuning software, Crome, Hondata, ECTune, Neptune?

I just want to suggest building for more power. You think you want 300hp now, but you might want more later- and instead of tearing everything down, replacing parts, and re-tuning.. you might just build the motor to handle more.

I hate myself for not building my motor up more when I had it out. I rebuilt stock and did minimal upgrades to handle boost. The next motor is being built to handle at least 600hp.. hopefully that will soothe the itch from that damn boost bug..

As Josh stated- you don't need to upgrade the manifold for 300hp, but it's probably a good idea just incase you want to run more power down the road. 6psi won't get you to 300hp, but you weren't trying to make it on that. As I just said, I'm running on a stock motor. 10psi and well under 300hp, I've got probably 3k on it so far.

I want hondata, but for now a friend suggested getting my car tuned at a shop here in colorado called "carz performance" using an open source tune. I won't have any problems with the skunk2 intake mani daily driving not making a ton of power right? I just don't want to not have low end torque and have trouble getting around. I searched and when i googled FMU, it came up with first morning urine, deffinetly not what i was looking for. I think FMU is fuel management system, but what does it do? and do I need it?
