Well one of my buddys just bought a 93 from some punk teenager and it has all kinds of issues. where to start... it stalls out of nowhere wither its hot or cold out. the kid that sold it to him gave him 3 extra fuel main relays. so im guessing a NEW one is in order to solve that problem. it just started to over heat very quickly yesterday. its boiling over out of the fill cap after only a couple of minutes at idle. So im sure that needs to be replaced... but im wondering why if its full is it still overheating alot? i looked for another leak and there was none. and he said that it was steaming out of the overflow res. when it happened the first time. so im thinking there is a clog in a line or something... among other problems but lets just start with getting it running! if anyone knows anything that might help let me know!

My name is Ben
the radiator cap is probably not holding pressure get a new one of those and a radiator flush and it should stop over heating.. but idk about the whole diing thing!

My name matches again lol
Check the alternator and the grounds on that thing and give it a tune up. Distributor too. I hope your friend didn't pay too much for that car for it to be having all those issues. Does the main radiator fan work? My car would try to overheat until I replaced it.

rockadilla

thats right.
It sounds to me like the headgasket is blown or maybe even the head needs to be replaced, cuz that's what happened to my car when my headgasket was shot... Check the coolent, if it looks like chocolate milk the head/headgasket is blown

as for the fuel relays, if their cutting in and out which means that the solder points need to be re soldered. if you open it up and look very closely at the solder points, you will see hairline cracks, i will try to find some pics of what im talking about, i had this same problem with my DA9 and i fixed it no problem.

heres a link to some more info on the relays and the problems they have. LINK 1 LINK 2 LINK 3

heres a pic for what you are looking for (the cracks) sorry for the size guys, it has to be big to see what im talking about.

Probably the little switch that's on the pedal. That or the piece that pushes the button of the switch as the pedal is released.
