i'm jus lookin for some help and some opinions on what to put in it i want to use the same engine. I did a lil lookin and found this



D16A1 ZC DOHC non-vtec Found in: 1986-89 Acura Integra (USA)

Displacement : 1,590 cc (97 cu in)

Bore and Stroke : 75 mm × 90 mm (3.0 in × 3.5 in)

Valvetrain : DOHC (4 valves per cylinder)

Power : 118 hp (88.0 kW, 120 ps) @ 6500 rpm

Torque: 103 ft·lbf (14.0 kg/m, 137 Nm) @ 5500 rpm

Piston Code: P29 (Equivalent to PM7)

ECU Code: PG7

L3 Gearbox - Cable Tranny



so now jus lookin for a lil help on where to start my bilud for more hp and torque all motor and then turbo latter THANKS FOR YOU OPINIONS

you can do a B series motor swap

aftermarket support for this engine is quite low. i forget the sites now, but you have to dig to find cams and pistons and such. but the d series turbo mani will fit this motor. 6-9 lbs should give u some umph without losing parts while driving

graveyardhippie is right, aftermarket parts for the d16a1 are hard to come by. no one wants to build them for that reason. all the d motors i've seen built have nitrous and/or boost. good luck on your build!

I'm doing the same engine build. I have a few websites for internals at my house, i'll post them up on here when i get home. its forged pistons, rings, connecting rods, gaskets, etc. i cant find cams or crank anywhere, even though ppl tell me stock cams and crank will do, i still dont trust it.

i found a site for more aggressive cams, up to stage 5 racing cams, turbo cams, etc.. i believe they even had some cranks, and stroker kits. i'll look it up when i get home, my work computer dont have my bookmarks. but the factory crank will hold up to some abuse. unless your wanting some crazy power or a stroker kit, i'd stay with the stock crank. connecting rods is what id be afraid of snapping and finding their way out of the block.

I almost bought a first gen as another project about a year ago. I was going to do a K turbo but ended up not buying it due to allot of rust on the underbody.
