Hi all,
I was trying to install my new street basis coilovers I got from Tein. I ran into multiple problems and limped home missing a bolt or two. Really need some help before I try and do anything else.
My issue was that after I took everything off, and tried to install my right front coilover, everything went to s***.
First, I no longer had a mounting bracket for my brake lines, as the old ebay coilovers had them welded to the actual strut (the Teins do not come with any).
So then I tried finding out more information and I read somewhere that you are supposed to hammer off the bracket from the factory strut and then place it between the fork hole (where the bottom of the new front coilover will sit) and looking at it, the lip on the bottom of the coilover will catch on the lower fork and sandwhich it in there..
However, when I looked at stock struts/shock assemblies (terrible with nomenclature), It doesn't look like something you can buy seperately. here is a link from a site I use often to buy/look up parts:

I don't see any bracket I can buy, so I'm assuming I would have to buy an old assembly and steal it off of that? (junks around here only have a 94, assuming I can't swap those I can't use it).
Here is a link to the Teins and the old ebays side-by-side:
You can see the bracket on the ebays which are tac-welded on. I would cut, them off but cutting into a gas shock I'm not very comfortable with..
Here is another image of a stock one with bracket: (taken from a 94)
Also, I stripped the bolt that bolts the lower fork onto the lower strut.. It basically holds this in and secures it.
I basically did not install the bolt on the driver's side as it was stripped..
So basically, what I tried to do was put the new tein assembly on and I was just going to ziptie the bracket as I would have at least liked to get the struts on. However, I apparently need that bracket as the bolt that secures the lower part of the strut onto the fork needs the bracket as it puts extra metal between where the bottom of the strut and the lower fork meet.
Since it doesn't have the bracket, the bolt will not go all the way in as it can only tighten so far. I also ate into the lower part of the Tein assembly as I tried to force the bolt to go all the way in...
Here's an image of the ebays before I took them off.
If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about or If they could point something out I'd really appreciate it.
Do not have a second driver any more and pretty screwed as I'm missing a bolt securing the lower fork to the driver's side strut.
I have a 93 Integra LS
