im gonna assume the mugen is the version they usually use that has an airbox with arm that goes down behind the bumper. If thats the one youre talking about, Mugen. Because Mugen.

are you looking to pay for the brand name? or just function. If you want function and a good price, just get ebay piping, and a k&n filter.

^^x2 I was just about to say that....i think it is pointless to pay 150-200+ on an intake when all it is is a 2.5-3" pipe and a filter...you can even go to auto zone and get the spectre SRI and a K&N filter...

Well it's for a friend and he wants the Mugen intake but I told him just to go with the AEMv2 . I just heard that he could get More out of the AEM then the Mugen. cause I was told that the Mugen is more for looks . is that true???
He's even looking into buying the ARC intake . I told him not to waste his money on that that's y he's deciding between those two.

So I'm assuming hes willing to pay good money on an intake ,. He also has a turbo that he's watting to throw on , so I told him just to buy a AEM intake and throw on the Turbo.

Why does he need an intake if he has a turbo kit he's gonna put on? that's just a waste of money

Mugen products are proven performance gains. What you need to ask yourself before buying is whether the gain is significant enough over your other options to fork out the money for. In the end that is only something you can answer but youd have to know the difference first. And unless you find a dyno graph comparison on the same set up it would be hard to say. I would run the mugen if i had the money. If i found something else that is very similar in performance for less i would get that. I cant speak about rsx set ups because i have never done the research for parts relating to K series motors. Parts for k series will for the most part behave differently than a similar part for the b series. Ill bet the Mugen outperforms however.

But lets simplify. If hes willing to spend the money then buy the Mugen. If not, just buy the sri.

type-s and the RS
the best intake ive seen for type-s is the injen. i had one i never dyno the car with that setup but the gains were there but there ppl calming 10whp on clubrsx so check that out. The v2 is a good intake nothing special.
