muffler question.

hey everyone, i got a question about mufflers. mine pretty much was crap since i got my da and now it pretty much broke off(pic later) right around the axle. i can get a stock one on for 85 muffler and labor, i think its a good price, but idk if i want stock, i was thinking of doing a can again, anyone know of a dxn, or a magnaflow not being as loud and ricey

i had a magnaflow resonator on my neon and it sounded pretty good. no muffler just cat pipe resonator pipe. not a big fan of fart cans.

im tired of my muffler being stupid loud and i already dealt with a ticket about it once, my insurance went up after that, or maybe the speeding one, but u know what im getting to.

for 150 you can get a whole cat-back exhaust from nopi. thats what ive got on mine. and its all 2 1/2 inch stainless.

Apexi WS2 is the best sexiest sound. Pricey, but worth it. Get the universal version if you went with that.

Save up some money, buy yourself a Tanabe Medallion Touring exhaust. I love mine. Looks good, sounds great, and operates under 93 dB.

had a tanabe exhaust on my car when i bought it, the silencer was encrusted in and i couldt remove it...the car would make a zing sound when i punched it, thankfully a pot hole riped of an exhaust hanger( dont ask me how that happened) making a nice size and i got a new one

next and current echaust is a magnaflow. sound wise i like it not a zingy sound but good, the fitment however im not happy with. i have a dc sport header, and a factory cat. the the best of my knowledge this should be close to factory. well none of the hangers line up and i had to put a 2 inch spacer in to make the exit in the right spot. i called and magnaflow reassured me that i got the right kit.

If there was a silencer that was a Tanabe Racing Medallion model, not a Tanabe Medallion Touring. Very different exhausts.

why would u say go stock? i do really want to because of im kinda tired of loud mufflers but idk if it will affect performance, i already have cheap headers and test pipe that came with the car on so i dont think it would matter much right?
