MSD External Coil System kit worth getting?

well i got my new MSD plug wires today. and i was looking around ebay and do you guys think i would benefit from THIS or not? what about when i eventually boost?

Did it make any difference? I've heard that the MSD is overkill unless putting it on a car with forced induction. :what:

Well from what Ive read, not sure how true; but the stock Ignition system on 94-01 Integras are the same inlcuding the Type R. So many people state the the stock system can handle boost no problem and that MSD is over kill, even for boost. I have plan to boost my SE by next summer, so I did the MSD upgrade. Even though im Still NA, I think it helped my over all performance.

thats basically my situation. i mean chances are once i boost ill end up getting it at some point... i just dont know if its worth getting before i boost or not. i dont know :what:

Why run the rist of hydro locking your engine???

when boosted cars are under boost there is always a chance of the boost blowing out the spark. i have seen this happen. then the fuel accumulates in the cylinder. once it does ignite there is a big bang. or it just locks up.

i use msd even though many people tell me that the stock ignition is fine. For me it is just a precaution. I would recommend it for everyone boosting or highly built N/A engine.

well im not boosting yet lol...oh btw i found a supercharger for sale local but it was off a gsr he said it was the same but im not sure will it fit

it will not fit. the blower is actually bigger because of the better flow in the vtec head. it will be a waste......you need to find a supercharger from an ls. the manifold is different, and the blower is bigger. DO NOT DO IT. check the Jackson site, and call them and talk to them about it.

cool i wasnt rushing cause i know that the intakes are different in the two cars so i figured the same for the S/C i was just wondering cause the guy said it would fit good now i can call BS haha

i never actually thought of it that way. glad you brought up that point. now i just gotta decide when the right time to but it will be
