Club Integra whats up im new to owning a 15 year old car so im pretty proud about that milestone in my life. Anyways I come from having a 2001 accord v6 ( I still own but im in the process of selling) so this a upgrade in the eyes of a tuner and car enthusiast. Just graduated school so I intend for this to me my first build where I can mod on a consistent basis without sacrificing my lifestyle

Anyways on to the good stuff I have a 1999 White LS 5 speed. Completely unmolested aside from a crappy UGA sticker I cant get off and a Sony USB headunit. Car wasnt washed in over a year before I bought but I fixed the stains that are in the pic

TL;DR Had a honda put tons of miles on it ran into problems bought an LS now im hot in the pants to mod it

Once I get some replies the questions will come...

Last thing im HIGHLY dissapointed by the lack of gifs on this forum so Im going to attempt to start a new trend and make everyone suffer with longer load times

Welcome, and the car looks pretty clean. :thumbs up What's your plans for it?

And lol at the lack of gifs.... most of us have our own bookmarks with a ton of them. Stay here a week or so and you'll see a few hundred different ones

Great I lurked for awhile maybe I was in the wrong places. My plan is an awesome handling 220 WHP DD

I have been doing quite a bit of research I originally was thinking of doing an F23 or taking my J30A1 and throwing it under the hood. After I looked at cost and then what it would take to manage and tune running these types of setups I think the most ideal and proven thing to do is run some LSVTEC. I wont lie I dont know to much about hondas 4 bangers so I have introduced to the world of DOHC and high compression. So many people seem to get butt hurt about build and cost it seems to be an ordeal to sort through bro logic and actual proven mods. I tried running 89 in my car last week and thus far it looks like I get lower fuel economy which contradicts what I have read online.

As of know I have DDM HIDS on the way and tint will getting slapped on soon

First thing's first, do a tune up no matter what the PO told you. I also wouldn't shoot for that much on a DD unless you plan on boosting. It'll take a hell of a lot more money to go all motor to get to 220whp than turbo with an LS.

As for the 89 octane lowering fuel economy... When my car was running, I only used 93 (I also had a good job at the time lol), and I'd get around 30-31mpg in the city. My car's also an automatic. So the higher octane should help a bit. :what:

LMAO wow you just shattered my dreams but thanks for the information. I just read that internals will need to be done anyway with boost and tuning will need to be done so I didnt see where these savings come from by doing boost. Do these blocks need to be sleeved to handle boost ?

This guy could fit in here... lets get rid of him.

Start learning about power production to get an understanding of how its made. Having no idea how 220whp costs more to reach than boosting insists that you need to know more. All motor is not as easy as people retardedly think. Boost is actually the most cost efficient way to make real power.
